Boston Trip
I recently took a trip to Boston. A city that I've been wanting to check out for a while. There's a nonstop 2-hour flight from Asheville, so it was easy peasy. The highlights include:
- Highly walkable
- A bunch of parks and gardens integrated into the city
- Excellent food. My favorite was a restaurant called Life Alive Organic Cafe
- Boston Public Library
- Bridges, harbors
City bikes are the best. It unlocked so much more.
I like when plants crawl up old buildings like this.
There were a lot of community gardens.
Alexander Hamilton
Some people playing basketball (I later joined and played 1-on-1 with a 10-year old who challenged me)
Blueberry shortcake ice cream from a plant-based shop next to where I was staying
Little Italy. A festival was going on that day. Huge lines to get canollis.
Historic Boston Public Library
A cool little grocery store on Newbury
Caught in the rain, but it was fun.
A rainbow appeared as I was walking through the public gardens
Lots of runners
Cauliflower soup.. Mmm!
Rode the T a few times. A local called it "the first and the worst"
ISKCON Temple
I was really impressed with the landscaping on the UMass campus. Lots of native plants!
Saw this sign a few times

A nice, wide street in the South End
